Bulk items are NOT collected curbside in Lubbock. Residents must transport bulk waste to one of four Citizen Convenience Stations. Must show driver's license with Lubbock city address. Stations are open Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (closed city holidays). Free service for Lubbock residents with valid ID.

Lubbock does NOT offer curbside recycling pickup. Recycling is available through 10 drop-off locations throughout the city. Materials must be separated by type. Locations open Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Key locations include: 1631 84th St (main recycling center), 208 Municipal Dr, 7308 Milwaukee Ave, 4307 Adrian St, Texas Tech Campus (3122 Main St), and 2901 Elgin Ave. For comprehensive recycling including glass and plastics #1-7, consider private services like Good Earth Recycling.
Holiday Schedule
When collection falls on a city-observed holiday, garbage collection is typically delayed. Lubbock observes: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (Thursday & Friday), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Collection typically moves to the next business day. Citizen Convenience Stations and HHW facilities are closed on city holidays. Collection starts at 7:00 AM - residents should have carts at curb by then.
