Customers may have up to 4 blue recycling carts at no fee. Contamination (non-recyclable items) causes entire loads to be rejected - when in doubt, throw it out.
Holiday Schedule
Durham collection schedules are affected by holidays. When a holiday falls on a regular collection day, service is typically delayed by one day for the remainder of that week. If your collection day falls on a holiday or the day after a Monday holiday, your garbage collection will be delayed by one day. To verify any last-minute changes due to weather or other circumstances, check local media, call Durham One Call at (919) 560-1200, or sign up for service alerts through the Durham Rollout app. Collection schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
