Position cart at least 5 feet from other carts, mailboxes, fire hydrants, parked cars, low-hanging trees, and utility poles. Keep cart lid fully closed. Do NOT bag recyclables - place items loosely in cart. Glass must NOT go in blue cart - use designated yellow glass bins at drop-off locations. Download the free Recycle Coach app for personalized collection schedules and recycling guidelines.
Holiday Schedule
Albuquerque Solid Waste Management is closed with NO curbside pickup on THREE holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. When a holiday falls on a weekday, collections are delayed by one day. If your pickup is on Thanksgiving Thursday, your trash collection will be Friday. If your collection day is on Black Friday, your pickup will be Saturday. If your pickup is on Christmas Thursday, your trash collection will be Friday. If your collection day is on Friday after Christmas, your pickup will be Saturday. New Year's Day follows the same pattern. All collection schedules the following week return to normal. If the holiday falls on a weekend, NO changes occur to residential pickup schedules. For all other holidays (Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, etc.), collection remains on the regular schedule. Convenience Centers are closed on all three major holidays.
