Operation Clean Up (OCU) is an annual program providing once-per-year bulk pickup for residential customers who pay for solid waste service. Set items out by 6:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day, no more than 7 days prior. Separate materials into two piles: 1) Yard clipping pile (tree limbs, lumber, grass clippings, leaves, brush), and 2) Trash pile (all other debris). To find your OCU date, use the online lookup tool or call 3-1-1. Only residences that pay for solid waste service on their utility bill will be serviced.

Empty and rinse all containers before placing in blue cart. Flatten cardboard boxes to save space. Remove lids from bottles and jars. Best practice: wipe, rinse, and dry all food and beverage containers to reduce contamination. Place blue cart at curb by 5:30 AM on collection day. Collection runs from 5:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Set carts at least 3 feet apart from each other and away from obstacles (cars, poles, mailboxes).
Holiday Schedule
City of Fresno DOES NOT collect trash, recycling, or yard waste on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day (December 25), or New Year's Day (January 1). When these holidays fall on a weekday (Monday-Friday), collection is delayed. If the holiday falls on Thursday, Thursday's collection moves to Friday and Friday's collection moves to Saturday. If the holiday falls on Friday, Friday's collection moves to Saturday. If your regular day is Tuesday or Wednesday, your service is not affected by these holidays. Collection operates normally on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. For missed pickups, call 559-621-6888 after 6:30 PM on your collection day.
